I like perfect weather.  The kind of weather where I could go out in a t-shirt and jeans, or wear shorts and flip flops if I want.  I remember when I was a kid and visited my grandmother in Florida.  I’d step outside at night and it was still warm on my toes.  It was amazing!!

So winter isn’t really my favorite time of year.  Neither is summer here in Virginia– it’s kind of hot.  But spring?  Oh I love spring!  The promise of new life, the days getting longer— it’s perfect!  Fall?  Not so much… while the weather is the same, the days are getting shorter & winter is on the horizon.  I just can’t get excited about that, no matter what kind of awesome Starbucks drink come out.  🙂But now that I have a kid, I feel a bit more responsibility to get outside in the winter, so I tried turning over a new leaf this year.  Despite cold weather, we took walks and we went to the beach.  We even hit up our favorite outdoor restaurant, The Barking Dog.  It was hard, but I’m glad I did it.  Now, I’m not saying that we played outside every day, but we weren’t nearly as reclusive as I tend to be in the winter.But I have to say… I am so glad it’s spring!  Even if it’s still chilly, the hope of warmer weather is here and it just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!
